 : Hi, I am new to computers and not sure just what I am looking for. I need a video card that will allow me to display my flight simulator on the TV from my Dell dimension 4700 computer. Could you please help to understand what I need to do?
Thank you for your time and trouble.

Do you have a HDTV?

Whats your budget and what version of FS is it?

Yes, I have a 2006 Sony big screen. The name of my FS is pre-flight sim and as far as my budget I was hopping that I could find a video card for around $75.00 - $100.00, but I would go more if I have to. I'm a disable Vet and money doesn't grow on a tree if you know what I mean. LOL

Ok thats good it appears your TV has a VGA and a DVI port (if that is your TV)

Good news also is that you also have a PCIeX16 slot on your Dell, that means it will take any new graphics cards around.

This is the card i recommened to you http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161060

Excellent budget card, and it should run fine on your 4700 Dell's Power Supply even though its only 305w.

You then plug the cable that goes from your monitor to your PC into the blue VGA port at the back of your TV and your away.
