i wanna make a gaming computer and i dunno what to put together was thinkin if someone could help me out it would be great
around $1000 give or take
i wanna run quad core tho
and a good graphic card

Q6600, $279.99.
Asus P5K-C, $139.99.
EVGA 8800GT, $289.99.
Corsair HX520w PSU, $99.99.
Antec 900 case, $79.99 ($40 rebate so get it while it lasts)
Corsair XMS 2GB, $37.00 ($40 rebate)
Thats the main chunk of the build and it comes to $926.95.
All you need to do is add the HDD and the Optical drive and combines that shouldn't come to more than $1000 depending on what size HDD you get.
Remember also an OS is going to cost about a $100.

the power supply that was recommended doesnt fit the mother board????
the plug has like this lump on the side and wouldnt let me plug it in???
if i supposed to do something before plugging it in and if not what other power supply can i use??

Does your motherboard require a 20-pin or a 24-pin connection? I know that my power supply (Corsair HX520w) has a 24 pin connector an extra 4-pin attachment that can be partially "removed" to fit into a motherboard requiring
a 20-pin connection. Does the "lump" look removable?
