Hey Everyone:
Last week, I posted a topic about what kind of good gaming computer I should build. I did appreciate everyone's support. But the price to build the computer is mighty expensive and right now cannot afford it. So I would like to know if there is possibly a cheaper alternative to building a computer. I like to play Sims 2 games on it but the game is running choppy at times and in order for me to play that game, I have to hook up my 17 inch CRT monitor. I got a new 22 inch LCD widescreen monitor for Christmas and the games run really worse on that monitor. Recent expansion packs being released will not work for my current computer as my computer does not meet the minimum requirements to run the game with those expansion packs installed. My current compuiter has the following:
ASUS A7N8X-VM/400 Motherboard with an AMD 2500+ 1.8 GHz processor
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
120 GB IDE Hard Drive
768 MB of PC2700 SDRAM
nvidia geforce fx 5200 AGP 128 MB Video Card
If you could think of anything or maybe even something that I could do to my current computer, plz let me know. I am hoping that I don't have to spend more than $500
