Hello all,
Just joined the forum and have, what else, a "burning" question. I have an old HP Vectra VE with a 350 MHz Pentium 2 processor and 4 GB RAM. What I am wanting to do with it in the future is put an entirely new CPU and mother board in it. I am thinking of going with an AMD processor and motherboard matched to the AMD processor. Anyway, the question is, could I use an AMD CPU and it's matched motherboard in the Vectra replacing only these two components? That is, is everything else compatible with AMD ? I would rather not have to replace the entire "guts" of the system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
