I can't believe it hasn't blown up...yet.:) Huge thanks out to Rob for your amazing site. I am not mechanically inclined, so bravo for getting me through this. Also thanks to Wise Monkey, RickyTick & Jamie for your help along the way.

My only hiccup was late in the game. I was getting the blue screen of death until I updated the BIOS and re-seated the memory.

This rig might be more than I need, but I got caught up :p in the excitement. I'm going to try Core Temp because the ASUS software says the CPU is running at 22 degrees idle, and that seems low even with the obscenely large cooler I have. Since I didn't go with one of Rob's MB's, I wish I had a detailed BIOS recommendation for the P5KC, but to be honest it's forcing me to learn. Of course, if someone (namely Jamie since he recommends this board so often) posted one, I'd be happy to stop learning.;)

Windows XP Home
Antec Sonata III 500 Quiet Super Mini Tower (now I have backup PSU)
ASUS P5KC LGA 775 Intel P35 (Jamie is persuasive)
CORSAIR 520W Power Supply (Persuasive here too)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz
ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT 110mm 2 Ball Ultra Quiet
Crucial (2x 1GB) Ballistix DDR2 PC2-6400
WD Caviar SE16 320GB 7200 RPM SATA
LG Super Multi 18x SATA DVD/DL
EVGA GeForce 8600GT 512MB 512-P2-N757-TR (not a gamer, so this has been fine for me)

Nope, i could post one but that would be too easy, we all gotta learn ;)

If however you do have trouble with any Bios settings give me a shout :D

Btw nice rig, glad the hiccups are over and enjoy it :)
