I personally use Avast! Antivirus. It works really well for me.

I got McAffee Internet Security free with my Sky subscription, so I'm sorted for the moment. I use NOD32 on my laptop though, and that is an excellent program.

Loads of people use AVG, as it is free and also very good.

What about for benchmarking your performance? Rob recommended a tool to benchmark his memory, but it is no longer free. My build is done, and I'm quite happy with it so far. But how do I know it's performing up to it's capacity?

PCMark is quite a good tool - it comes with a free trial.
