I have been looking into getting the best video card that I can for my new computer build. NewEgg has the EVGA 8800GT and 8800GTS for the same price. I had decided to get the 8800GT but with the 8800GTS for the same price should i just go ahead and get it? Would I see a big increase in performance with the 8800GTS?

My rig at this point is as follows:

Asus M2N-Deluxe
AMD 64 x2 6000+
Corsair XMS2 2GB (may upgrade to 4GB)
WD 500GB SATA
CoolerMaster 550W PSU
CoolerMaster CM690 (I got this for a steal!)

Thanks for any insight!

it depends which version of the gts...if its the old/original one, you would go with the gt, if its the newer one, i hear its better than the gt

The 8800GTS is the new version from EVGA. I read the review in the forum and it looks like the GTS is the one to get.
