When I finished assembly a 'supercomp' several days ago, I was afraid to turn the computer on fearing that there might be problems. Then the fear became reality.....

1. first, I had put a DVD movie disk into the player, It failed to work.
Then, there was poor sound quality (weak, gobbled dialogue sound) on internet streaming video. (Audio/usic CD was playing fine with normal sound.
2. I removed the SOUND CARD from mother board. The sound has improved, perfectly OK. But video play-back is still not possible. (Photography CD viewing was OK)

3. Then I re-installed 'video card driver'.
Still DVD is not working
4. Then I bought video Decoder (nVidia) on- line.
Now, Video is visible on DVD play and internt streaming video.
But Sound is not functioning properly. It is very weak or gobbled voice in dialogue portion of audio. The music or background portion of audio is OK. (built-in mother board audio is only source of sound, no sound card inserted any more).

What or where is the problem?
What is the next step to diagnose?
Re-install MOBO software? Is there Audio codec or decoder?

Why did you remove the sound card?
